Morning · Rope Drop & Toy Story Land
Head to the Bay Lake Tower bus stop. Buses run every ~20 min. Give yourselves a cushion to make 8:30 Early Entry. Bring sunscreen, water bottles, stroller, and ponchos (April showers).
Walk straight to the Chinese Theatre at the end of Hollywood Blvd.
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (no height req.) — a colorful, trackless dark ride. Wait should be 10–20 min during Early Entry.
After riding, start checking the app to redeem your first Lightning Lane as soon as the window opens. Each tap unlocks the ability to book another.
9:15–11:30 · Toy Story Land Block
Outdoor coaster, fun hills, no inversions. 38″ minimum — both kids clear it. A great first coaster for kids. Tap in and immediately book LL #4 in the app.
3D shooting gallery — the whole family will love this. No height requirement. Tap in and book LL #5.
Spinning ride, short and fun. 32″ minimum. Tap in and book LL #6 — no tier restrictions after your pre-booked 3 are used. Good picks: Millennium Falcon, Runaway Railway again, or a show.
Right here in Toy Story Land. Totchos or a lunch box tart — use a dining plan snack credit. Grab some shade and let the kids enjoy the oversized Toy Story Land theming (great photo ops).
Late Morning · Shows & Lunch
~30 min, indoor, air-conditioned. A funny, interactive retelling of Frozen with audience sing-alongs. Hannah will love this. Check the app for showtimes — shows run throughout the day.
~25 min, covered outdoor theater on Sunset Boulevard. A Broadway-style retelling with Belle, Beast, Gaston, Lumiere, and the whole crew. This will be a highlight for Hannah. Arrive 15 min early for good seats.
Two great options — use
1 Quick-Service credit per person:
- Backlot Express (near Echo Lake) — burgers, chicken, salads
- Docking Bay 7 (Galaxy's Edge) — better food, more unique atmosphere. Eat here if you want to combine with your 1:00 PM block
Afternoon · Galaxy's Edge
Tap into your Single Pass window. Multi-stage experience — pre-show, transport, and ride — lasts about 18 minutes total. Widely considered the best ride at Disney World. Both kids clear the 40″ minimum.
Some young kids find the brief "capture" scene intense — it's dark and loud for a moment. But even at 3 and 5, the kids will be captivated.
Interactive ride where you pilot the Falcon. 38″ minimum — both kids clear it. Request "pilot" seats for the most fun. Scottie will love this. Use an LL if you booked one; otherwise the standby queue itself is incredible (you walk through the full Falcon interior).
- Life-size Millennium Falcon — amazing photo op
- Spot Stormtroopers and characters roaming the land
- Blue or green milk — fun snack credit use
Mid-Afternoon · Decision Point
By now you'll know how the kids are doing. Pick your path:
- Option A: Resort Break — Bus back to Bay Lake Tower (~30 min). Nap, pool, recharge. Return by 5:00–5:30 for the evening block.
- Option B: Shows + Chill — Catch seated, mostly A/C shows:
- The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure (~17 min, indoor, A/C)
- Another Frozen Sing-Along if the kids want to go again
- Re-ride favorites — keep grabbing LLs in the app
Evening
If you took a resort break, this is your return window:
- Re-ride favorites — the kids will want Slinky Dog or Toy Story Mania again
- Catch any shows you missed
- Explore Galaxy's Edge if you rushed through earlier
- Check the app for character appearances around the park
An immersive Toy Story-themed restaurant where you're "honorary toys." Family-style BBQ platters — pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken, mac & cheese. Uses 1 Table-Service credit per person. Budget about 60–75 min.
- If the kids are still going: Fantasmic! at 8:30 PM (Sunset Blvd amphitheater, ~30 min) — Mickey battles Disney Villains with water screens, fireworks, and live characters including Beauty and the Beast scenes. Arrive by 8:00–8:10. You may get lightly misted in the front rows.
- If the kids are done: No shame in heading out. Catch the bus back to Bay Lake Tower and enjoy a quiet evening in the suite.
